"His style strays from the conventional by taking images that connect with people on a fundamentally human level. The vulnerability he is able to capture and the stories his photos tell reach out and demand your attention"
In a nutshell I’m an Editorial and Commercial photographer based and working in the Mid-Atlantic Region. In Editorial and Commercial/Advertising work I truly found my calling, the range and variety of work along with associated challenges providing not just creative stimulation but also the opportunity to meet, see and experience new people and challenges. The clients I work with are my kind of tribe, people who have no fear of the unknown, a curiosity about life and a desire to create something new and visually exciting that others will find interesting.
How I see it – I am blessed to be able to earn my living doing something I love. My camera(s) are not just a work tool, they are a conduit to capturing the essence of an individual or scene. The deeper I immerse in photography the more I realize I can only be a lifetime student, photography as a whole is not something I believe can be truly mastered except a very select few.
The common denominator across my work are pictures of people with their guard down, shots that capture not only the person’s personality but their emotive side. My accent (British) allows me to build an easy rapport and trust along which combined by a thought out and practiced workflow to draw out a person throughout a shoot results in images that make people feel good about their decisions.
Oh, and according to most…I speak funny.
