The pictures at the top of this post are behind the scenes photos of two best friends, occasional business partners and who have fronted the Original Booze Brothers since 1978. Most people when put in front of a camera and told to just chat naturally have a terribly difficult time doing so, Lee and Fred instantly dropped into the easy rapport of two people who have shared each others lives, bars, gigs, families.
It was inspiring, as Bobbi and I embark on our next step opening our own studios I hope that we can sit down together and share that kind of bond.
After a long search we literally stumbled across the perfect space at 106 N Market, Suite A in the heart of downtown Frederick. A space where photography and psychiatry can combine in unity. On paper the two are odd bedfellows, yet we both specialize in showing people what they do not see within themselves.
Nestled above the Starbucks on N Market, the photo studio offers a 50’x13’ main space with diffused natural light and a range of strobes. Primarily the home for my own work, rental requests will be considered. Across an adjoining hallway is Found Souls Studio, a new approach to mental health through changing behaviors and thinking
It is a truly scary experience to sit down, sign a lease and be handed a set of keys to your own business space. A necessary progression to have our own space, and exciting to have a place to call our businesses home, but at the same time all this space to fill, to fill with work, creativity and joy. A reflection of our life together.
We will both be running seminars, from the photography side each month will feature an evening photography workshop, but also an evening with a professional photography and a musician, a forum to discuss creativity, inspiration and overcoming challenges.
Mark your diaries - Grand Opening is September 4th - 6-9pm :-)
