Rick Fink and his band of reprobates known as the Gas House Gorillas are a simply amazing live band. Like a rabid rat terrier on crack they explode onto a stage and never let up until the whole place is a sweaty mess of dancing bodies.
They slide comfortably from jump blues to punk, from Cab Calloway to the Ramones and even Van Halen with aplomb and swing. It might get a rockabilly purist's knickers in a twist but certainly not their audiences who lap it up to the last drop. Resistance is completely futile as Rick literally climbs stools, tables and walls in his quest to find the last person not dancing and drive them onto the floor.
The rest of this band of the misfit toys on stage are no shrinking violets standing in the shadows, from Crusher's kilt as he twirls and assaults his double bass into submission, Oscar Rodriguez' swinging guitar with a dose of punk grit and Eddie Everett's studious drumming keeping the beat on the floor and driving the steam train that will roll right over you and leave you shaking your head and eagerly scouring their website for the next date.
