All workshops run from 6:30-8:30pm unless stated
We are excited to offer a new season of workshops this Summer/Fall. We are making available photography education at a level that is affordable, some attendees have said they should be much more but we view this as a way of giving back to our community.
I've spent an stupid amount of time learning how to take photographs, mostly making mistakes until I figured things out, watching endless youtube videos and reading anything I could find - so you don't have to. Each workshop is presented in a concise manner, giving you the building blocks to start improving your individual photography style rather than a one size fits all approach.
Click on each link to see a more detailed description of each course. As an introductory offer any one attending a workshop is entitled to a 10% discount on a personal photoshoot, season pass attendees are offered a 15% discount.
If buying as a gift, please notify us and we will issue a gift certificate. All seminars are at Natural Artistry Photography studio, located at 106 N Market St, Suite A, Frederick, MD, for those outside, meeting point will be the studio unless stated otherwise.
What do I do with these damn pictures after I've taken them !
This event will be a soup to nuts affair with a little bit for everyone.
We will cover :-
As a departure from previous events we invite you to submit an image for editing, along with any notes on what you have tried to achieve but are having difficulty with, and we will try to cover those during the workshops. Any that we are not able to do for time I will touch base after the event.
Note: This course is a classroom event at the studio. We will project the computer screen on a backdrop so you can clearly follow along.
Yeah, baby !
We are going to hold this workshop out at the new extension to Carroll Creek to the East of East St (say that ten times fast). It should be a blast, sunset is forecast for 8:10pm and dusk by 8:39pm, so we will start with dramatic light, work through golden hour and end with some little surprises I have in store at dusk.
We will bring in a few victi...sorry, models. And cover natural light, reflectors and off camera flash to raise your "Sport" photography game from a rec park to a stadium. DOn't worry if you don't have any lighting eqt., we will be bringing some for you to use.
A requested revisiting of the Spring Golden Light Workshop, sunset this time is due at 7:30 with dusk at 8pm so we have the potential for far more dramatic skies.
Will cover both portrait and landscape photography that is rich in subject matter for both.
Meeting point will be the painted bridge on Carroll St, next to the Delaplaine (meet on top of the bridge).
Frightened of Photoshop ? Want to master it and feel comfortable that you can achieve what is in your head ?
This is the workshop for you, we'll break down PS into it's components, take away the overwhelming reaction at seeing so many tools and adjustments and break it down to how they work, and tie together.
Take your images to the next level, achieve what is in your head and learn how to produce images that stand apart.
When signing up, please supply an image for us to make sure we are covering what you need.
For the last one of the season, let's have some real fun !
IF weather permits this will be between the studio, alley behind and parking deck. We'll dig out lights, smoke machines, costumes and make up, cover creative and dramatic lighting, gels
Let's make this one a party !
Tuition is non refundable and non transferable. If you are unable to attend a seminar you have booked, we will of course try and accommodate special circumstances.
